I would consider myself to have been very involved in highschool. All four years, I played various sports, was a member of different clubs, and had some leadership roles within those areas. In addition, I performed several hours of community service. Because of this, I feel that I have a pretty good idea of different organizations I would like to get involved in at Mizzou. One of my favorite things I was involved in at my highschool was being a student ambassador and a student retreat leader, so I really want to get involved with new students. I would love to be part of the Tour Team or even a Summer Welcome Leader.
Already, I have become part of the Kappa Delta Sorority and am trying to immerse myself fully in all that it has to offer. For instance, I am a member of the intramural volleyball team, and plan to get involved in other sports teams as the seasons change. I also am participating in being involved in preparing things for homecoming by pomping and signing up for float committee.
Outside of Kappa Delta, I am working to maintain an active faith life by going to mass on Sundays and being an active member of the Catholic Student Association. I also am working to explore various areas of my major - Journalism. So far, I have gotten involved in KCOU, and the magazine club. I also receive emails for the Maneater and MOVE magazine but have yet to get involved. Over the next four years, I hope to explore the various journalism opportunities to obtain a better understanding of what I would like to do with my life.
